Supervision of Demolition Works Abandoned Gas Plant, Zeebruges

The Flemish Waste Agency contracted Ecorem to supervise the demolition and rehabilitation works on the former Carcoke gas plant at Zeebruges. The total value of the project implementation was about 10 Mio Euro. Among the hazardous materials were asbestos, cyanides, PAH, mercury, etc. Subsequently, a feasibility study was prepared for the redevelopment of the site (brownfield).
